Improving life through leadership
Presented by Kim Maxwell
How do we find time to make a difference? Join Kim as she walks us through a series of teachings she’s learned, while training with the John Maxwell Team, to grow and develop leadership skills. These are skills we can use to help us grow and strengthen our leadership abilities within our clubs, our families, our churches and our careers. Leadership development is a journey that exponentially adds value to our lives and those around us.
Kim Maxwell
KIM MAXWELL has been a member of Kiwanis since November 2008 and has served the Kiwanis club of Henry County as distinguished president. She has also served as membership chair and as a member of the board of directors. During her term as President, she was touched by the Eliminate Project and championed the cause which lead to the Kiwanis Club of Henry County becoming a “Model” Club. At the district level, Kim is currently Lieutenant Governor Elect for Division 18. She has received the GA Kiwanis Outstanding Leader Award and is a Walter Zeller Fellow.
In her community, Kim serves as a group leader for Bible Study Fellowship and co-facilitator for her small group at church. Kim has a passion for learning and growing. This led her to join the John Maxwell Team in September 2012 and was certified at training in February 2013. In June 2013, she had the honor and privilege to go to Guatemala with John Maxwell to train leaders. She has attended twelve International Maxwell Certification events and has obtained additional leadership certifications from Personality Insights for DISC training and from IPEC (Institute for Professional Excellence in Coaching) where she’s earned a certification for coaching and is an Energy Leadership Master Practitioner. She earned a Bachelor of Business Administration from Clayton State (2002) and a Masters of Business Administration from Georgia State (2008) and is a licensed CPA in Georgia.
It’s often said that “Kim Maxwell is unlike any accountant you’ve ever met”. Her focus is on educating and helping her clients grow themselves and their businesses. Her philosophy is teach others to fish and feed them for a lifetime, give them a fish and feed them for a day. She started The Accounting Firm, LLC in McDonough is 2007 to offer a different type of
accounting practice. Here, she educates and trains clients on QuickBooks, tax law, and leadership development.
